The KTA9-32S provides Class 10 overload protection, phase loss sensitivity, and manual ON/OFF switching — covering disconnect, short-circuit protection, overload protection, and manual control in a single 45mm-wide device. The Enclosure

Type E/F Construction Explained

When applied as a self-protected (Type E) combination motor controller, the KTA9-32S provides all NEC/CEC-required functions for a single motor branch circuit — disconnect, short-circuit protection, overload protection, and manual switching — without requiring a separate upstream fuse or circuit breaker. The addition of the CA7 contactor with coil makes this a Construction Type E (manual combination) or Type F (magnetically controlled combination) starter, depending on the control circuit application.
