Low voltage wind turbine converter
The ACS800 low voltage wind turbine converter is available for full converter and doubly-fed electrical drivetrain concepts. The liquid-cooled converters feature totally enclosed, compact cabinets protecting the internal electronics from dust, salt, sand and other environmental pollutants. The converters use ABB's signature direct torque control (DTC) for generator control. DTC monitors generator torque 40,000 times per second, ensuring immediate reaction and control.

How to Choose Your Drive Product Code:
1 - Identify your Construction: This will depend on the drive mounting arrangement and power rating. 01 = wall-mounted 02 = free-standing
2 - Identify your supply Voltage. The ACS550 is available in two voltage ranges: 4 = 380 to 480 V 2 = 208 to 240 V
3 - Choose your motor’s power and current Rating and Dimensions from the ratings table for 380 to 480 V Wall-Mounted and Free Standing units or 208 to 240 V Wall-Mounted units.
4 - (Optional) Choose your NEMA Enclosures options. B055 = NEMA 12 (Industrial use, Dust Tight and Drip Tight, Indoor Non-Ventilated Types OR B058 = NEMA 3R (Rain Proof and Sleet Resistant Outdoor, Non-Ventilated Enclosures)
