The ABB AF16-30-10-11 is a versatile 3-pole contactor designed for controlling power circuits up to 690 V AC and 220 V DC, making it ideal for managing 3-phase motors and non-inductive or slightly inductive loads. This contactor features an innovative electronic coil interface that accommodates a wide range of control voltages, from 24 to 500 V AC/DC, allowing for global compatibility without the need for coil changes. With built-in surge protection, the AF16-30-10-11 eliminates the need for additional surge suppressors, providing a compact and efficient solution. The contactor is equipped with 1 built-in auxiliary contact and supports both AC and DC operation, offering flexibility in various applications. Its block type design allows for easy expansion with add-on auxiliary contact blocks and a wide range of accessories. Note that this model is not suitable for direct control by PLC-output. The AF16-30-10-11 is capable of controlling motors up to 7.5 kW / 400 V AC (AC-3) or 10 hp / 480 V UL, and can switch power circuits up to 30 A (AC-1) or 30 A UL general use, ensuring reliable performance even in unstable networks.
