The ABB DRAF16-13U is a robust enclosed Direct-On-Line starter designed for efficient control of 3-phase asynchronous motors up to 690 V AC. This starter is delivered fully assembled and wired, ensuring a seamless installation process. It features an IP66 and type 4X plastic enclosure with double insulation, providing excellent protection against harsh environments. The enclosure is equipped with a green flush "I" ON button and a red protruding "O" OFF/RESET button for easy operation. Additionally, it includes four cable inlets and outlets via knockouts, suitable for UL starter types.
Inside, the DRAF16-13U houses an AF16-30-10-13 3-pole contactor with a holding contact, ensuring reliable motor control. It also features a separate supply for UL starters with an AC control supply range of 100-250V50/60HZ. The starter includes a CB5-10 start contact block, a PE terminal, and a neutral terminal. Please note that the TF42 thermal overload relay must be ordered separately and selected based on the motor's nominal current to ensure optimal performance and protection.
