The ABB X500-B4-48-XD is a PSTX extreme duty enclosed softstarter in a Type 4 enclosure for 480 V motors, combining a PSTX softstarter with an ABB Tmax XT circuit breaker and an AC-3 emergency bypass.

Includes all features of the PSTX normal duty, sized for heavy duty applications, plus an AC-3 emergency bypass. Both the PSTX softstarter and TMAX XT breakers are utilized. Door mounted pilot devices include PSTX keypad, hand-off-auto selector switch, start and stop pushbuttons, power on pilot light, run pilot light, fault pilot light, normal/emergency bypass selector switch, emergency bypass start and stop pushbuttons and emergency bypass pilot light. Good for Normal Duty class 10 starts for 600HP/720A, heavy duty class 30 starts for 500HP/590A, SCCR rating of 65kA, 480V and type 4 enclosure.
