The Leuze AMS 301i 40 is an optical distance sensor designed for precise long-range measurements from 200 to 40,000 mm, with a resolution of 0.001 to 10 mm and accuracy of ±2 mm. It features a red laser light source (Class 2 per IEC/EN 60825-1:2014), 40 mm light spot size at 40 m, and supports a maximum traverse rate of 10 m/s, with electrical requirements of 18-30 V DC. Housed in die-cast zinc/aluminum metal (2.45 kg), it offers wall mounting and is suited for applications like crane collision protection, gantry crane positioning, electroplating plants, and skillet systems.
