The Leuze AMS 335i 120 H is an optical distance sensor designed for non-contact measurement and collision detection in industrial automation applications. It delivers measurement accuracy of ±2 mm over a range of 200120,000 mm with 1.5 mm reproducibility (3 sigma), making it suitable for precision positioning and safety monitoring in crane systems, electroplating equipment, and skillet transport systems. The sensor features a DeviceNet interface with M12 A-coded connectors, operates across -30 to 50 °C, and is housed in diecast zinc/aluminum with a glass lens cover.
The unit measures 84 × 166.5 × 159 mm and is mounted via through-hole fastening. Electrical specifications include an 1830 V DC supply with transmission speeds up to 500 kBit/s on the DeviceNet bus. An LC display and membrane keyboard provide local configuration and diagnostics. Temperature drift is specified at 0.010.1 mm/K, and the sensor supports a maximum traverse rate of 10 m/s, making it compatible with dynamic industrial environments.
