The Leuze AMS 348i 300 SSI is an absolute optical laser distance sensor designed for precise position control, measuring distances up to 300 m against a reflector using light propagation time principle. It offers ±5 mm accuracy, 1.0 mm consistency, adjustable resolution from 0.001 to 10 mm, and 1.7 ms measurement value output time, with a maximum traverse rate of 10 m/s. Electrical specifications include 1830 V DC supply (?250 mA without heating, ?500 mA with), SSI interface, two programmable inputs/outputs, and IP65 protection in a 2.45 kg cast zinc/aluminum housing suitable for temperatures with optional heating. Typical applications include positioning of automated plant components, high-bay storage lift axes, gantry crane bridges/trolleys, and collision protection.
