Description

The Baumer FRDK 14P6901/S14 is a retro-reflective sensor designed for transparency object detection, featuring a pulsed red LED light source with a wavelength of 660 nm. It offers a nominal range of 8 meters and an actual range of 7 meters. This sensor does not include a polarization filter but is equipped with a yellow LED light indicator and sensitivity adjustment through Teach-in. It has a fast response and release time of less than 0.1 ms, with a Teach-in signal time of over 500 µs and an adaption time of less than 20 ms. The sensor operates on a voltage supply range of 10 to 30 VDC, with typical current consumption of 35 mA and a maximum of 40 mA. It features a low voltage drop of less than 2.2 VDC and includes output functions that are switchable between light and dark operate. The output circuit is PNP with an output current of 100 mA, and it includes protections against short circuits and reverse polarity. The sensor's compact, rectangular design measures 14.8 mm in width, 43 mm in height, and 31 mm in depth, with a housing made of plastic (ASA, MABS) and a PMMA front optics. It connects via an M12 4-pin connector and operates within a temperature range of -25 to +65 °C. The sensor is rated at IP 67 for protection against dust and immersion.
