Description
The Baumer IFRM 18N17A5/L 11078679 is a quasi-flush, cylindrical threaded proximity sensor with a nominal sensing distance of 8 mm and adjustable hysteresis between 3% and 20% of the sensing range. It features a red LED output indicator and operates at a switching frequency of 500 Hz. This sensor supports a voltage supply range of 6 to 36 VDC and has a maximum no-load current consumption of 10 mA. It includes an NPN make function (NO) output circuit with a maximum output current of 200 mA. The voltage drop is less than 2 VDC. It offers short circuit and reverse polarity protection. The sensor is constructed with a PBT sensing face and a brass nickel-plated housing, measuring 18 mm in diameter and 35 mm in length. It connects via a 2-meter cable and requires a maximum tightening torque of 40 Nm. Suitable for operating temperatures from -25 to +75 °C, it is rated IP 67 for protection against dust and immersion.
