The Datasensing AE1/CN-1A84 Inductive Sensor is a high-performance proximity sensor designed for precision and reliability. Featuring an M8 shielded design, this sensor operates with an NC/NPN output and is equipped with a 3-meter axial cable for versatile installation. It offers a nominal sensing distance of 1.5mm and an operating range of 0 to 1.21mm, making it ideal for detecting standard targets of 8x8mm FE360. The sensor's correction factors for various materials include copper (0.29), aluminium (0.38), brass (0.49), and stainless steel (0.78), ensuring accurate detection across different surfaces. Engineered for stability, the sensor exhibits a thermal drift of less than 10% and a repeat accuracy of under 5% at 24V and 23°C ±5°C. Its hysteresis ranges from 1 to 20%, and it supports a switching frequency of up to 5kHz. The device operates within a voltage range of 10 to 30Vdc, with a no-load supply current of ? 10mA and a load current of ? 200mA. The output voltage drop is minimal at ? 1.8V @200mA, and it maintains a max ripple content of ? 10%. For user convenience, the sensor includes a yellow LED indicator for output state and features a time delay before availability of ? 50ms. It is equipped with short-circuit, reverse polarity, and impulsive overvoltage protection, as well as protection against inductive loads. The sensor's housing is made of durable nickel-plated brass, with an active head material of PBT, and it is designed for shielded mounting with a tightening torque of 3Nm. The AE1/CN-1A84 is CE and UR approved, ensuring compliance with international standards. It is EMC compatible with IEC 60947-5-2 and withstands shocks and vibrations as per IEC 60068-2-6 and IEC 60068-2-27. Supplied with two M8x1 nuts, the sensor measures M8 x 1 with a length of 45.5mm and operates within a temperature range of -25°C to +70°C. Its mechanical protection rating is IP67, making it suitable for demanding industrial environments.
