The Datasensing AK1/CN-1A Sensors are high-performance inductive sensors designed for a variety of industrial applications. With a nominal sensing distance of 5mm and an operating range of 0 to 4.05mm, these sensors are ideal for precise proximity detection. They feature a standard target size of 18x18mm FE360 and offer correction factors for different materials, including copper (0.40), aluminium (0.48), brass (0.50), and stainless steel (0.86). The sensors exhibit a thermal drift of Sr of less than 10% and a repeat accuracy of less than 5% at 24V and 23°C ±5°C. The AK1/CN-1A models are equipped with a variety of output options, including cable, M12, and plug cable exits, and are available in 2, 3, and 4-wire configurations. They also offer complementary output functions (NO+NC) and are available in ATEX category 3 models upon request. With a switching frequency of 600Hz and an operating voltage range of 10 to 30Vdc, these sensors are versatile and reliable. Designed for durability, the sensors feature a nickel-plated brass housing and an active head made of PBT, ensuring robust performance in harsh environments. They are shielded for easy mounting and come with short-circuit, reverse polarity, impulsive overvoltage, and inductive load protection. The sensors are equipped with a yellow LED indicator for output state and have a time delay before availability of less than 50ms. With a mechanical protection rating of IP67, the AK1/CN-1A sensors are resistant to shocks and vibrations, meeting IEC 60068-2-6 and IEC 60068-2-27 standards. They are CE and UR approved, ensuring compliance with international safety and quality standards. Supplied with two M18x1 nuts, these sensors are ready for immediate installation and operation in temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C.
