Datasensing AK6/AN-4A Sensors

The Datasensing AK6/AN-4A Sensors are high-performance inductive sensors designed for a variety of applications. With a nominal sensing distance of 12mm and an operating range of 0 to 9.7mm, these sensors are ideal for precise proximity detection. They feature a standard target size of 36x36mm FE360 and offer correction factors for different materials, including copper (0.47), aluminium (0.42), brass (0.74), and stainless steel (0.36). The sensors exhibit a thermal drift of less than 10% and a repeat accuracy of under 5% at 24V and 23°C ±5°C. The AK6/AN-4A models are equipped with an NPN output type and a normally open (NO) output function, supporting a switching frequency of 2kHz. They operate within a voltage range of 10 to 30Vdc, with a no-load supply current of ? 10mA and a load current of ? 400mA. The output voltage drop is minimal at ? 1.5V at 400mA, and the sensors are designed to handle a maximum ripple content of ? 10%. For user convenience, the sensors include a yellow LED indicator for output state and feature a time delay before availability of ? 50ms. They are built with robust protection mechanisms, including short-circuit, reverse polarity, impulsive overvoltage, and protection against inductive loads. The sensors are unshielded and have a compact M18 x 1 / L = 39mm design, with a nickel-plated brass housing and PBT active head material. Weighing 95g, the sensors come with a 2m PVC cable connection and are supplied with two M18x1 nuts for easy installation. They are designed to withstand operating temperatures from -25°C to +70°C and offer mechanical protection with an IP67 rating. The sensors are CE and UR approved, ensuring compliance with IEC 60947-5-2 for EMC compatibility and are tested for vibration and shock resistance according to IEC 60068-2-6 and IEC 60068-2-27 standards.
