The Dynapar AD36 is a compact absolute encoder featuring optical multi-turn sensing technology in a 38 mm housing with an 8 mm hollow shaft compatible with resolver size 15 mounting. It provides 12-bit single-turn and 12-bit multi-turn absolute position resolution with ±35 arc-second accuracy, enabling true multi-revolution position tracking without homing procedures. The encoder supports both BiSS and SSI digital communication interfaces, allowing seamless integration into modern motion control systems and eliminating the need for analog signal conditioning. Rated for continuous operation at speeds up to 10,000 RPM (12,000 RPM short-term) across a wide temperature range of ?40°C to +120°C, it includes integrated diagnostic capabilities with warning and alarm outputs for predictive maintenance. The stainless steel hollow shaft design facilitates resolver-compatible installation on BLDC servo motors with small frame heights, while the aluminum housing and dual ball bearing support deliver robust mechanical performance under shock (1,000 m/s² for 6 ms per DIN EN 60068-2-27) and vibration (100 m/s² across 10–2000 Hz per DIN EN 60068-2-6) environments. Connection is via PCB connector (12-pole axial) with integral mating connector and 0.5 m shielded cable.
