The Dynapar DS616-A1000 is a Hengstler absolute rotary encoder from the AD25 series, featuring single-turn resolutions of 13 or 22 bits and multi-turn resolution of 12 bits with absolute accuracy of ±0.01° mechanical (36 arc-sec) and repeatability of ±0.002° mechanical (7.2 arc-sec). It supports BiSS or SSI interfaces over RS422 with transmission speeds up to 10 MHz for BiSS, operates on 5 VDC (±10%/+5%), and includes integrated diagnostics for LED current sensing, single-step checks, and temperature monitoring. Mechanical specifications include a 10 mm tapered solid or hub shaft, stainless steel housing and shaft, -15°C to +120°C operating temperature range, IP40 enclosure, 100 G shock resistance, and 10 G vibration tolerance (10-2000 Hz).
