Summary: Assembles, builds, tests, analyzes, and adjusts precision electromechanical components and machinery according to blueprints, schematics, drawings, and other specifications by performing the following duties:
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned such as quality inspection and inventory material handling (i.e. physical counting of inventory.)
- General Knowledge on how to read Electrical Schematics and Mechanical Assembly Drawings.
- Operates bench-top machine, general hand tools, solder pot, various crimpers and strippers.
- Assemble Electrical Assemblies that contain wire(s), heat shrink label and electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, pins and sockets or connectorized cables.
- Assemble Electro/Mechanical assemblies such as pneumatic valves and fitting to more complex work such as Back Plane hardware mounting and wiring.
- Verify significant dimensions shown on documentation or identified by QC.
- Installs electrical assemblies and hardware in housing.
- Test assembled components for circuit continuity, short circuits, and crossed termination for QC Validation and operational reliability.
- Analyzes Documentation Supplied to develop test requirements and analyze test results for repairs or adjustments required to instruments according to analysis.
- Ability to Records test results and write reports on techniques utilized and results determined
- Calibrates instruments according to specifications used within your area of scope.

Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as Electrical Schematic, Mechanical Drawing Documentation, Parts Lists, Safety Rules, Operation and Maintenance instructions and QC Policy’s and Procedure documents. Ability to write routine reports, inter-office correspondence and occasional interaction with Vendors and Customers. Ability to speak effectively before employees of an organization.
Mathematical Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Education and/or Experience:
Associate’ degree (AA) or equivalent two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Measuring and Validations Skill: BasicKnowledge of the use of a Caliper, Gage Block and pin gage set and additional Quality measuring Devices along with the use of a Amperage and Voltage Meter.
Preferred Skills:
Possess basic knowledge of circuit troubleshooting.
Understand the use of basic hand tools and related safety.
Possess basic knowledge of PLC’s programming and hardware.
Possess basic industrial electrical wiring practices and panel building.
Possess basic knowledge of National Electrical Code.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
