The Horner Automation HE-XPL1E3 is a 5.7-inch XL6 Prime all-in-one OCS (operator control station), combining PLC logic, HMI, I/O, and networking in a single panel-mount unit. This model provides 12 DC inputs, 12 DC outputs, 2 x 12-bit analog inputs. The XL6 Prime runs a 2 MB logic engine at a 0.02 mS/K scan on a non-volatile system-on-module, so the only battery is a coin cell for the clock.

Direct successor to the discontinued HE-EXL1E3-33. Existing Cscape applications transfer to the XL6 Prime without redevelopment.

This page replaces the discontinued Horner Automation HE-EXL1E3-33 (5.7" EXL6 series, 12 DC inputs, 12 DC outputs, 2 x 12-bit analog inputs with DeviceNet Master firmware preloaded and CsCAN removed). Horner marked that series mature; the HE-XPL1E3 is the direct upgrade with the same 5.7-inch display and identical I/O. On the legacy part, DeviceNet Master was a preloaded-firmware option; on the XL6 Prime DeviceNet Master is selectable in Cscape, so no dedicated part number is required.
