WebMI 2.0 is configured entirely inside Horner's standard Cscape programming software. You publish the pages you already built for the OCS screen; there is no HTML, JavaScript, or web-server administration to write or maintain. WebMI 2.0 is a re-architected release focused on longevity, faster screen transitions, and stronger encryption and authentication than WebMI 1.0.

Level-Based, Object-Level Security

Access is assigned per object, not just per screen. Cscape lets you define up to 255 users across 8 access levels (0 through 7) and govern both who can view a screen and who can act on the objects inside it. On Canvas controllers, user credentials are stored with AES encryption on the device, login attempts are verified at the device level, and the login screen can be branded, customized, or fully disabled for display-only kiosk and monitoring use.

Licensing Mechanics

• One license, one OCS. The voucher activates WebMI on a single controller and is tied to that unit's Ethernet MAC ID.
• Life of the unit. The license is valid for the lifetime of the controller with no recurring or subscription fees.

• Canvas - all firmware versions (Canvas has always used WebMI 2.0)
• XL Prime Series - firmware v17.40 or later
• Micro Series - firmware v16.20 or later
• XLEe / XLTe - firmware v15.80 or later
• Pages must be republished as WebMI 2.0 after upgrading Cscape

Note: XL Series and RCC Series controllers do not support WebMI 2.0, and WebMI licenses are no longer sold for XL Series controllers. Existing WebMI 1.0 installations are unaffected and do not have to be updated.
