The PULS TP960.241 is a 24 VDC, 40 A, 960 W three-phase DIN rail power supply from the PULS PLANET TP series. In a 79 mm wide housing it runs directly on 380-500 VAC three-phase mains with no inrush current peak, reaches up to 97.1% efficiency, and delivers 1152 W of continuous BonusPower up to +45°C plus 1920 W (200%) peaks for up to 15 seconds at +40°C. An active current share bus, AC OK and DC OK relay contacts, and an LED load bar make it a strong fit for paralleled and closely monitored power systems.

Key Features

  • Dynamic BonusPower Management: 1920 W (200%) for up to 15 s at +40°C, with 120% (1152 W) available continuously up to +45°C
  • Compact 79 mm width for 960 W of three-phase power
  • Up to 97.1% efficiency: only 3.6 W at no load and 28 W at full load
  • No inrush current peak on the three-phase input
  • Fuse breaking current: typically 200 A for up to 12 ms to trip fuses and breakers on faulted output branches
  • Active current share bus: keeps the output voltage constant when units are paralleled, regardless of load
  • AC OK and DC OK relay contacts: separate remote signals for input mains status and output voltage
  • LED load bar shows output power at a glance
  • Six-step output adjustment for repeatable setpoints
  • Internal data logging: operating hours, temperatures, and input/output events stored for PULS service diagnostics
  • HiccupPLUS overload protection with automatic restart
  • 3-year PULS warranty

How Dynamic BonusPower Works

Instead of a fixed peak rating, the power supply monitors output through a power-time integral. The less extra power a load draws, the longer BonusPower stays available, and the supply recovers within seconds after a peak, so repeated motor starts and actuator cycles are supported without nuisance shutdowns.

BonusPower UsedAvailable up to +45°CAvailable up to +60°C
110% Continuous 172.5 s
120% Continuous 143.0 s
150% 47.4 s 43.0 s
200% 12.0 s 6.0 s

Typical Applications

  • 400 V and 480 V machine control panels without a neutral conductor
  • Large 24 V loads such as PLC racks, I/O, and motor brakes
  • Paralleled systems where the current share bus holds a constant output voltage
  • Semiconductor process equipment requiring SEMI F47 voltage sag immunity
  • Outdoor and unheated enclosures down to -40°C

Approvals and Compliance

cULus Listed to UL 61010-2-201 (E-File E198865, US and Canada), CB Scheme to IEC 61010-2-201, IEC 61558-2-16, SELV/PELV, SEMI F47, CE, REACH, WEEE, and China RoHS 2. The unit complies with FCC Part 15.

Installation Notes

  • Mount on a 35 mm DIN rail (EN 60715) with input terminals on the bottom. Other orientations require output derating.
  • Keep 40 / 30 / 5 / 5 mm clearance (top / bottom / left / right), and 15 mm on the sides next to a heat source.
  • Approved for branch circuits up to 30 A (UL) without additional protection. If an external breaker is used, choose 6 A minimum, B or C characteristic.
  • Protective earth connection is required (Class I equipment). Do not operate with DC input.
  • When paralleling units, daisy chain the current share bus pins (4.5 and 4.6) between supplies.
