The SMC 10-KQ2H01-01NS is a clean room specification inch-size one-touch fitting from the KQ2H series, configured as a straight male connector. Part number decoded: KQ2H = one-touch straight male connector, 01 = 1/8" tube OD (inch size), 01 = 1/8" NPT male thread, N = sealant-coated thread, S = hex socket head. The smallest combination in the inch-size KQ2 range, this fitting provides the tube-to-port connection for compact clean room devices with 1/8" NPT ports.
The 1/8" tube with 1/8" NPT is the most compact standard connection in inch-size pneumatics, used on small cylinders, miniature valves, pressure switches, and compact regulators. The S (hex socket head) provides a low-profile head that tightens with an Allen key, reducing protrusion in confined spaces compared to standard hex nut fittings. Factory-applied thread sealant (N) eliminates PTFE tape, preventing particle generation from tape fragments during installation and maintenance in clean room environments.
For the same 1/8" tube with larger port threads, KQ2H01-M5NS (M5 metric) and KQ2H01-02NS (1/4" NPT) are available. For elbow connections at this size, the KQ2L series provides 90-degree routing. For metric tube sizes, the KQ2H series covers 4mm through 16mm OD. For stainless steel construction in particle-critical applications, the KGH series is preferred over nickel-plated brass KQ2.
