The SMC 25A-CDQ2B20-10DZ is a secondary battery compatible compact cylinder in B-type mount with 20mm bore and ultra-short 10mm stroke, supplied as a base unit. Part number decoded: CDQ2 = CQ2 double acting, B = B-type, 20 = 20mm bore, 10 = 10mm stroke, D = standard option, Z = auto-switch groove. No auto-switch — field-installable via Z groove.

The 10mm stroke at 20mm bore creates a compact high-force-density micro-actuator: approximately 19N through just 10mm. The ultra-short travel minimizes cycle time and overall extended length, fitting into the tightest installation spaces. The base unit without switch provides the lowest acquisition cost.

Suited for cell OCV test probe contact actuation, electrode tab alignment micro-clamps on stacking machines, separator film tension micro-adjusters, pouch cell vacuum cup micro-release actuators, and cell barcode label micro-stamp applicators. Choose the 20mm bore 10mm stroke for micro-actuation above 12N force where the 16mm bore is insufficient. For auto-switch version, the CDQ2B20-10DZ-M9NVL adds M9NVL NPN sensing. For 25mm stroke at this bore, the CDQ2B20-25DZ provides more travel. For 50mm with switch, the CDQ2B20-50DZ-M9BL provides extended PNP. RoHS compliant.
