The SMC RMHZ2 is the standard 2-finger pneumatic air gripper in the RMH cobot gripper series. With a 14 mm stroke, high-precision linear guide integrated into the finger, ±0.01 mm repeatability, and a 120 CPM maximum operating frequency — the highest in the RMH series — it is optimized for fast, precise, repeatable pick-and-place tasks where workpiece size is consistent. At 638 g (clamp type) it is the lightest RMH gripper, and the built-in solenoid valve delivers up to 80% air consumption reduction versus a separately mounted valve — again the best in the series. Compatible with 13 cobot platforms including Universal Robots, FANUC, YASKAWA, ABB, KUKA, Mitsubishi Electric, DOOSAN Robotics, OMRON/Techman, SIASUN, JAKA, AUBO, HAN'S Robot, and DENSO WAVE.

Attachment Mounting Notes

1 Mount attachments using M4×0.7 bolts at 1.35 to 1.65 N·m.
2 Do not drop or bump the gripper during mounting — the high-precision linear guide is sensitive to deformation. Even slight damage causes inaccuracy or malfunction.
3 Body tapped holes (M5×0.8) can be used for lateral or bottom mounting. Max screw-in depth is 10 mm — do not exceed.
Linear guide caution: The high-precision linear guide uses a finite orbit type ball mechanism. When the robot generates inertial forces during movement or rotation, operate the fingers to full stroke to reset the guide. Failure to do so causes large resistance and degrades accuracy over time.
