The SMC ZPT16BFK30-B5-A10 is a bellows type vacuum pad from the ZP series, featuring a 16mm pad diameter with FKM (fluoroelastomer) rubber construction, vertical vacuum inlet, and 30mm buffer stroke. This configuration combines the chemical resistance of FKM material with the angular compliance of a bellows design and extended 30mm buffer travel, creating a highly versatile pad for demanding chemical processing, pharmaceutical, and specialty manufacturing environments where both aggressive fluid exposure and variable workpiece geometry are present.

The FKM material ("F" designation) provides outstanding resistance to a broad spectrum of chemicals including mineral oils, fuels, aromatic and chlorinated solvents, and many acids, with an operating temperature range of -10°C to +200°C. The 30mm buffer stroke ("K30") delivers significant Z-axis compliance for applications with substantial workpiece height variation, making this pad well suited for bin-picking, palletizing, and process automation applications where approach distances are inconsistent.

The 16mm bellows pad strikes an effective balance between contact area and conformability, providing reliable vacuum sealing on flat and moderately curved workpieces in the 10-50g component weight range typical of small parts handling in chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturing. The bellows convolutions allow the pad to seal effectively even when approaching at angles up to 15° from perpendicular.

Connected via a "B5" fitting with the "A10" buffer body specification, this pad is RoHS compliant and integrates with SMC's complete vacuum system portfolio. The ZPT series covers diameters from 2 to 125mm with six material options.
