WAGO’s JUMPFLEX® Family Adds Four New Members
WAGO has added four
new signal conditioners to the JUMPFLEX®857 Series. Packed into industry leading
6mm housing, these new modules save space but don’t sacrifice on safety or
power. The Loop Powered RTD module converts RTD and resistive inputs to
standard analog signals without the need for an external power supply. The dual
channel voltage/current signal splitter converts, amplifies, filters or
isolates standard analog signals and splits them into two separate current or
voltage outputs

Killer Condensation: Protect Automation Equipment by Lowering the Dew Point
The number one reason for automation equipment downtime stems from preventable excess water vapor and condensation. Corrosion, rust and
pipe scale can detach and subsequently block air passages to reduce or halt equipment performance.
Luckily, these extra vapors are easily removed with a well-maintained
filtration system and lowering the dew point.According to SMC Insider, “Drying compressed
air at the highest pressure consistent with the facility’s demands will result
in the most econ

ABB Customer World: Next Level Automation Excellence
In case you are not attending the ABB show in Houston
this week, here is a synopsis of the keynote panel discussion addressing improving
project costs, uptime, productivity and efficiency.Panelists encouraged companies
to take a completely new approach and consider rebuilding their systems from
the ground floor that can double to triple savings. “We have to change the way
we are looking at and executing projects—not just squeezing prices, but new
ways of looking at things,” said

Packaging Line Automation
With a goal of reducing costs, consistently producing high
quality product and increasing profits, selecting the right level of automation
for a packaging line can be tricky: it’s not as simple as throwing together a
bunch of robots and automation. Two automation options may be available depending on the
application: full automation and partial automation. Fully automated systems
operate with virtually no human interaction whereas partial systems are still
somewhat dependent on worker invol

Creating a Safer Industrial Manufacturing Environment
When crafting a new industrial manufacturing system, safety
can sometimes take a backseat when it comes to planning because industrial
accidents may seem like rare occurrences. The reality is that accidents occur
more frequently than one may think. In 2015, OSHA recorded an average of 13 workplace fatalities every single day.Creating a defined safety policy can help create desirable long-term
safety records for facilities. Careful planning and communication of new
procedures is also es
