Connectivity Accessories

Turck connectivity accessories finish and protect a connector system: closure and dust caps that seal unused junction box ports and receptacles, bus termination resistors for fieldbus networks, and teach adapters. Automation Distribution is an authorized Turck distributor. Select by the connector family you are covering (Picofast M8, Eurofast M12, Minifast 7/8", 1", 1-1/8", Multifast M23) and the gender of that connector.

Closure Cap Selection Guide

An unsealed port is an open path for water, coolant, and debris into the connector system. Match the cap to the connector family and size first, then confirm the gender listed in the Connector A field on the product page.

Connector Family Thread Size Example Cap Part Numbers
Picofast M8 PSG-MC, PSG-CC
Eurofast M12 FS-CC, FK-CC, RS-MC, RK-MC, VZ 3
Minifast 7/8" RSMV-CC
Minifast 1" RSFB-CC, RKFB-MC
Minifast 1-1/8" RSFC-CC, RKMC-CC
Multifast M23 CK-CC

Turck offers caps in several styles, including threaded hand-tighten caps with a lanyard that keeps the cap attached to the port, so it is not lost during maintenance. The style is listed on each product page.

Bus Termination Resistors

Fieldbus trunks need a termination resistor at each end of the line to prevent signal reflections. Turck termination resistors install like a connector, directly on the last port or tee. Choose by protocol, connector size, and gender. For example, RSMV-48TR-EX is a 7/8" male terminator with a stainless steel coupling nut for PROFIBUS-PA, and the RKE 57-TR2 and RSE 57-TR2 are M12 female and male versions. Check the protocol and any hazardous area approval on the product page before ordering.

Teach Adapters

VB2-SP teach adapters connect inline on the M12 sensor cable to set up Turck weld nut sensors without opening the sensor. Several versions exist (VB2-SP1, SP2, SP3, SP6), so match the adapter to the sensor model listed on its datasheet.

Ordering Notes

  • Check the bag quantity: the same cap can be listed as a single piece, a small bag (for example 8/BAG), or a bulk bag (for example 1000/BAG). The price on the page is for the quantity in the product name.
  • Match the gender to the port: each product page lists Connector A gender. Confirm it against the junction box port, receptacle, or cordset end you are sealing.
  • Plan caps with junction boxes: on a multiport junction box, every port you leave unused needs a cap to keep the box sealed. Order caps with the box.
  • Looking for connectors or cable? Molded cables are in Cordsets, connectors you terminate yourself are in Field Wireable Connectors, and Y-splitters and tees are in Splitters.

Connectivity Accessories FAQ

Do I need to cap unused ports on a junction box?

Yes. A junction box or receptacle only keeps out water and debris when every port is either connected or sealed with a closure cap. Leaving a port open lets contaminants reach the contacts. Order a cap for each port you will not use.

How do I pick the right closure cap?

Match the connector family and thread size first (M8, M12, 7/8", 1", 1-1/8", or M23), then confirm the gender in the Connector A field on the product page. The Product Features line on each page also states which Turck family the cap is an accessory for, such as "Accessory for 7/8 minifast."

Where do fieldbus termination resistors go?

A termination resistor goes at each physical end of the bus trunk, typically on the last device or tee. Turck terminators are built as connectors, so they thread onto the open port. Select one that matches the network protocol, connector size, and gender.

Why are some caps sold by the bag?

OEMs and panel builders use caps in volume, so Turck packages many caps in bags such as 8 or 1000 pieces. The quantity is in the product name, and the listed price covers the whole bag. Single and bulk options are often listed side by side.
