The Datasensing PFM1/BN-3H Sensors are designed with a robust AISI 316L stainless steel housing, ensuring durability and resistance to harsh environments. These sensors feature an LED status indicator and offer a high degree of protection with IP67, IP68, and IP69K ratings, making them suitable for various industrial applications. ATEX models, category 3, are available upon request for explosive atmospheres. The sensors provide complete protection against electrical damages and are available in both standard and long-distance models.
With a nominal sensing distance of 4mm and an operating distance of 0 to 3.24mm, these sensors are highly accurate, boasting a repeat accuracy of less than 5% and a thermal drift of Sr under 10%. They are designed for proximity functions with an NPN output type and NO + NC output function, supporting a switching frequency of 2kHz. Operating within a voltage range of 10 to 30Vdc, they have a no-load supply current of ? 15mA and a load current of ? 200mA, with a leakage current of ? 15?A and an output voltage drop of ? 2V at 200mA.
The sensors are equipped with short-circuit, reverse polarity, impulsive overvoltage, and inductive load protection. They are shielded for mounting and have dimensions of M12 x 1 with a length of 64.6mm, weighing 30g. The active head is made of PPS material, and the sensors can withstand operating temperatures from -40°C to +80°C, with short exposure up to 100°C during cleaning processes. They are CE, cULus, ECOLAB, and DIVERSEY approved, with EMC compatibility according to IEC 60947-5-2 standards. The sensors come with two M12x1 nuts for easy installation.
