Robotiq Screwdriving Solution for UR e-Series Robots – Phillips Bit Kit
RobotiqRobotiq Cobot Accessories | Assembly Automation
The Robotiq Screwdriving Solution is a complete, off-the-shelf automation package engineered for small-screw assembly on Universal Robots e-Series cobots. Combining the SD-100 Screwdriver, SF-300 Screw Feeder, Force Copilot URCap software, and a Phillips bit starting kit in a single SKU, it delivers consistent torque, built-in error-proofing, and 5-minute production changeovers — with no robotics experience required.
What's Included — SOL-SDS-ES-D1F3-P
SD-100 Screwdriver
Compact, controller-free screwdriver with vacuum transport system. Handles screws from M2.5 to M5 at torques from 0.3 to 4 Nm.
SF-300 Screw Feeder
300 cc chamber with dual sensors for screw-ready and screw-cleared confirmation. 3-second feed cycle. Mounts with included bracket.
Force Copilot URCap Software
Integrates force sensing, vacuum, screwdriver, and feeder into two-step UR programming. Open program tree for advanced sequences.
Phillips Bit Starting Kit (PH1 & PH2)
Robotiq-certified 3.5-inch bits for hard-to-reach locations. Vacuum sleeves accommodate part tolerances out of the box.
Why Automate Screwdriving with Robotiq?
- Reduce repetitive strain injuries — eliminate the leading source of MSDs on assembly lines
- Consistent torque 24/7 — built-in torque control and error-proofing catch defects before they leave the cell
- 5-minute changeovers — switch screw types and products without re-programming or tooling changes
- Deploy in under two weeks — no robotics experience required; URCap handles component communication automatically
- Solve labor shortages — redirect skilled workers to higher-value tasks while the cobot handles precision fastening

System Features
Built-In Error-Proofing
Screw presence detection, torque and position control, and OK/Not OK confirmation catch defects automatically. Saves programming time and prevents fastening failures without custom code.
Vacuum Transportation System
Integrated vacuum handles screws of any material — steel, stainless, nylon — without customization. Compliant vacuum sleeves accommodate part tolerances and enable reach into chamber holes and tight spaces.
Dual Sensors in Screw Feeder
One sensor confirms screw ready; the second confirms screw cleared from workspace. Prevents premature pick commands, avoids collisions, and synchronizes robot and feeder motion automatically.
Force Copilot URCap Integration
Control screwdriver speed, torque, and approach angle directly from the UR teach pendant. Seamlessly integrates force sensing, vacuum, cobot, screwdriver, and screw feeder in two programming commands: Pick Screw and Drive Screw.
5-Minute Production Changeovers
Switch between screw types and product variants quickly, without tooling changes or re-programming. Designed for high-mix / low-volume environments where flexibility is as important as throughput.
Open Program Tree
The Screwdriving URCap auto-programs pick and drive sequences, but the program tree remains fully open. Develop advanced sequences, add vision, or chain multiple operations without restriction.
Program in 2 Steps — No Robotics Experience Required
Step 1 — Pick Screw Command: Select feeder digital inputs, set pick position, enable retry on failure. The approach position is preset with a 10 mm offset.
Step 2 — Drive Screw Command: Set stop condition (torque), tool speed (RPM), and force applied on screw. Advanced settings include angle before ramp-down, left-hand thread support, distance tolerance, and timeout. Teach and test directly from the pendant.
Typical Applications
