The SMC 25A-CDQ2A32-200DCZ is a secondary battery compatible compact cylinder with 32mm bore and an extended 200mm stroke for long-reach actuation in battery production equipment. Part number decoded: CDQ2 = CQ2 double acting, A = A-type, 32 = 32mm bore, 200 = 200mm stroke, DC = both-end cushion, Z = auto-switch groove. Base unit without auto-switch — switches can be field-added via the Z groove.

At 32mm bore the CQ2 generates approximately 48N at 0.6 MPa through a long 200mm cushioned stroke. The DC end cushions are essential at this stroke length to arrest piston momentum and prevent mechanical shock to connected tooling. The 200mm travel handles applications requiring significant linear reach while maintaining the CQ2's thin square profile, keeping the installation footprint much smaller than a comparable round-body cylinder.

Designed for electrode sheet transfer between coating and calendering stations, long-stroke tray pusher mechanisms on formation and aging racks, cell carrier shuttle indexing, and module-level busbar insertion tooling. Choose the 200mm stroke when the transfer distance exceeds 150mm; for shorter reach the CDQ2A32-80DCZ provides 80mm and the CDQ2A32-40DZ provides 40mm.
