The SMC 25A-CDQ2B200-175DCMZ is a secondary battery compatible compact cylinder with the absolute maximum 200mm bore in the CQ2 range, delivering the highest pneumatic compact cylinder force available. Part number decoded: CDQ2 = CQ2 double acting, B = B-type, 200 = 200mm bore, 175 = 175mm stroke, DCM = cushion with M modification, Z = auto-switch groove. Base unit without auto-switch.

At 200mm bore the CQ2 generates approximately 1,885N at 0.6 MPa through 175mm of DCM-cushioned stroke — nearly two kilonewtons of pneumatic force in a compact cylinder footprint. This force level replaces small hydraulic presses in applications where hydraulic fluid contamination risk is unacceptable. The DCM cushion is mandatory. The B-type mount provides the heavy-duty bolting pattern required for this massive bore.

Reserved for the most extreme secondary battery applications: mega-format battery pack frame structural pressing, solid-state battery stack hot-press lamination requiring kN-level force, large-format module compression exceeding all other CQ2 bore capabilities, and electrode calender heavy pre-load mechanisms. Choose the 200mm bore only as the last resort before transitioning to hydraulic actuation. For 160mm bore at lower force, the CDQ2B160 provides 1,206N. For auto-switch, add M9NL/M9BWL suffixes. This is the absolute largest standard CQ2 configuration. RoHS compliant.
