The Leuze AMS 335i 200 is a high-precision laser-based optical distance sensor engineered for industrial measurement and positioning applications requiring long-range accuracy. With a maximum measurement range of 200 m, ±3 mm accuracy, and 2.1 mm reproducibility (3 sigma), this sensor delivers reliable performance in demanding manufacturing and material handling environments such as crane collision protection and electroplating plant positioning systems. The device operates on 1830 V DC supply, communicates via CANopen interface at speeds up to 1,000 kBit/s, and features an integrated LC display with membrane controls for field configuration and diagnostics.
The cubic metal housing (84 × 166.5 × 159 mm) with glass lens cover is designed for industrial robustness, with operational temperature range of ?5 to 50 °C and minimal temperature drift (0.010.1 mm/K). Connection is via four M12 connectors: two for CANopen bus communication (male and female), one for 5-pin power/switching input-output, and one service port for diagnostics and setup. The 1.7 ms measurement output cycle supports real-time response in fast-moving automation systems.
