The Leuze AMS 355i 300 is an optical laser distance sensor from the AMS 300i series, designed for precise, contactless measurements up to 300 m against a reflector, with an accuracy of ±5 mm and resolution adjustable from 0.001 to 10 mm. It features a maximum traverse rate of 10 m/s, light spot diameter ?225 mm at full range, and outputs via interfaces such as DeviceNet (125-500 kBit/s) or RS422/RS232, with supply voltage of 18-30 VDC and current consumption ?250 mA at 24 VDC without heating. Typical applications include position determination of automated moving plant components and collision protection for cranes, with mounting via M5 screws and knurled nuts for alignment.
