The Leuze AMS 358i 200 H is a laser-based optical distance sensor that measures distances up to 200 meters using light propagation time principles. This Class 2 laser sensor delivers absolute measurement accuracy of ±3 mm with reproducibility of 2.1 mm (3 sigma), making it suitable for precision positioning control in industrial automation. The sensor requires an unobstructed line-of-sight to a reflector and features M12 connectors for power and data communication, with configurable network addressing via integral display controls.
The AMS 358i 200 H is designed for collision protection and positioning applications in crane and gantry systems, high-bay storage facilities, electroplating plants, and material handling equipment. It operates with a measurement resolution ranging from 0.001 to 10 mm depending on distance range, and supports fast integration times for dynamic position monitoring of moving components.
