The Leuze AMS 384i 300 is an absolute optical laser distance sensor designed for precise non-contact measurements up to 300 m against a reflector, with accuracy of ±5 mm and adjustable resolution from 0.001 to 10 mm. It features a red laser diode (class 2), Interbus-S interface (2 Mbit/s), supply voltage of 1830 V DC, and current consumption up to 500 mA with heating; the cuboid metal housing (84 x 166.5 x 159 mm, IP65 rated) includes a pre-mounted mounting plate, M12 connector, LCD display, and 4-button interface for manual adjustment. Typical applications include positioning of automated plant components, high-bay storage lifts, gantry cranes, and collision protection systems, operating reliably from -5 to 50 °C with traverse rates up to 10 m/s.
