Description

The Baumer CFAM 12P1600 10236343 is a cylindrical threaded proximity sensor with a nominal sensing distance of 4 mm, adjustable from 0.5 to 4 mm. It features flush mounting and a ground electrode for enhanced stability. The sensor operates within a voltage supply range of 10 to 30 VDC and has a maximum current consumption of 20 mA. It includes a PNP make function (NO) output circuit with an output current of 200 mA and a voltage drop of less than 1.5 VDC. The switching frequency is 50 Hz, and it offers protections against short circuits and reverse polarity. The sensor is designed with a brass nickel-plated housing, measures 12 mm in diameter, and is 60 mm long. It connects via a 2-meter cable and operates in temperatures ranging from -25 to +75 °C. The sensor is IP 65 rated, indicating dust tightness and protection against water jets. It is equipped with a yellow LED output indicator, a 240° potentiometer for sensitivity adjustment, and can detect non-conductive media and bulk goods, as well as perform fill level detection through containers. However, it is not suitable for liquids in direct contact.
