The Baumer FCE 500E1Y00 is a diffuse type fiber optic sensor with a cylindrical threaded fiber optic head made of stainless steel. It features an ultra-flexible coaxial fiber layout with a sensing distance of 107 mm and a 60° exit angle. The fiber optics can be shortened to the desired length, and the sensor operates within a temperature range of -30 to +70 °C. It has a 0.5 mm diameter fiber, a 3 mm head width/diameter, and an 18 mm head length. The bending radius is fixed at 4 mm, and the cable jacket, also made of stainless steel, has a diameter of 1 mm. The fiber optic cable is 500 cm long, made of plastic, and does not support infrared light compatibility or integrated lenses. The sensor is ideal for applications requiring high flexibility and durability in harsh environmental conditions.
