The Baumer FZDM 16P5101/S14 is an intensity difference sensor with a sensing distance of less than 400 mm. It features a flashing light indicator for alignment or soiled lens detection, and a yellow LED light indicator. Sensitivity can be adjusted via a 270° potentiometer. The sensor includes suppression of reciprocal influence and utilizes a pulsed infrared diode with a wavelength of 880 nm. It has a fast response and release time of less than 1 ms. Operating on a voltage supply range of 10 to 30 VDC, it consumes a maximum of 41 mA with no load and typically 29 mA. The output function can operate in light or dark conditions, and it includes a PNP output circuit with a maximum output current of 200 mA.
