Description

The Baumer IR18.P06F-11119472 is a flush-mounting, cylindrical threaded proximity sensor with a nominal sensing distance of 6 mm and an assured sensing distance of up to 81% of Sn. It features a temperature drift of ±10% of the real sensing distance and a hysteresis range of 3 to 20% of Sr. The sensor is equipped with a red LED output indicator and supports a correction factor of 100% for various metals including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and copper. It operates at a switching frequency of 500 Hz and requires a voltage supply range of 5 to 36 VDC, with a maximum current consumption of 12 mA when no load is present. The output circuit is a PNP break function (NC) with a maximum output current of 200 mA. It includes short circuit and reverse polarity protection. The sensor's housing is made of brass nickel-plated material and the sensing face is PBT. It measures 18 mm in diameter and 50 mm in length, with a connection via a 2-meter cable. The sensor can withstand a tightening torque of up to 40 Nm and weighs 100 g. It is designed to operate within a temperature range of -25 to +75 °C and is rated IP 67 for protection against dust and water ingress. Additionally, it is resistant to vibrations and shocks as per IEC standards.
