Description
The Baumer OADM 20I6480/S14F 10144601 is a high-precision optical distance sensor with a measuring range of 100 to 600 mm and a beam diameter of 2 mm. It features Teach-in adjustment via button or external control, with a minimum Teach-in range of 10 mm. The sensor includes a green LED for power indication and a red LED to signal a soiled lens. It offers a resolution between 15 and 670 µm and a linearity error of ±0.05 to 2 mm. The sensor uses a pulsed red laser diode with a wavelength of 650 nm and is classified as Laser class 2. It has a fast response and release time of less than 0.9 ms. Operating on a voltage supply range of 12 to 28 VDC, it consumes a maximum of 100 mA with no load. The output is analog, providing signals of 4 to 20 mA or 0 to 10 VDC, and it supports a load resistance for analog current less than ((+Vs - 6 V) / 0.02 A) and for analog voltage greater than 100 kOhm. The sensor also features a 100 mA output current, PNP alarm output, and is equipped with short circuit and reverse polarity protection. Its compact design measures 20.6 mm in width, 65 mm in height, and 50 mm in depth, housed in die-cast zinc with a glass front optics. It includes an M12 8-pin rotatable connector, offers ambient light immunity of less than 10 kLux, and is rated IP 67 for protection against dust and water ingress. The operating temperature range is from 0 to +50 °C.
