Description

The Baumer OADM 20I6591 10165976 is a high-precision laser distance sensor with a measuring range of 50 to 300 mm. It features Teach-in adjustment via a button or external control, with a minimum Teach-in range of 5 mm. The sensor provides visual feedback through a green LED for power indication and a red LED for soiled lens detection. It offers a resolution between 10 and 400 µm and a linearity error of ±0.2 to 1.5 mm. The sensor emits a line beam with a width of 2 mm and a height varying from 6 to 11 mm, utilizing a pulsed red laser diode with a wavelength of 650 nm, classified as Laser class 2. The response time is less than 2 ms, and it operates on a voltage supply range of 12 to 28 VDC, with a maximum current consumption of 100 mA when no load is present. Output signals are versatile, offering both 4 to 20 mA and 0 to 10 VDC, with appropriate load resistance specifications. It includes safety features such as short circuit protection and reverse polarity protection. The sensor's robust design includes a die-cast zinc housing, glass optics, and is IP 67 rated for dust and water resistance. It can operate in temperatures ranging from -20 to +60 °C and withstand significant environmental challenges, including high levels of ambient light, vibrations, and shocks as specified by IEC standards. The sensor is compact, measuring 20.6 mm in width, 65 mm in height, and 50 mm in depth, and connects via a 2-meter, 8-pin cable.
