Description

The Baumer OADM 21I6480/S14F 10165289 is a high-precision optical distance sensor with a measuring range of 100 to 600 mm and a fine resolution of 1 to 250 µm. It features a small beam diameter of 2 mm and utilizes a pulsed red laser diode with a wavelength of 650 nm, classified as Laser class 2. The sensor offers flexible adjustment options including Teach-in via button or external control, with a minimum Teach-in range of 10 mm. It includes a green LED for power indication and a red LED to alert when the lens is soiled. This model ensures high accuracy with a linearity error of ±0.07 to 1 mm and minimal temperature drift (<0.012% Sde/K). It has a quick response and release time of less than 4 ms. The sensor operates on a voltage supply range of 12 to 28 VDC and has a maximum current consumption of 100 mA with no load. It supports both analog output signals (4 to 20 mA / 0 to 10 VDC) and includes a PNP alarm output, with protections against short circuits and reverse polarity. Designed for durability and reliability, the sensor has an aluminum housing, glass optics front, and an IP67 protection class, making it suitable for harsh environments. It operates within a temperature range of 0 to +50 °C and can withstand ambient light up to 10 kLux. The sensor's dimensions are 20.4 mm in width, 135 mm in length, and 45 mm in depth, and it connects via an M12 8-pin rotatable connector.
