Baumer OZDM 16N1001 10130603 is a diffuse contrast sensor with a sensing distance of less than 250 mm and an optimum operating distance between 40 and 80 mm. It can detect a remission difference of more than 8% on grey surfaces and offers repeat accuracy of less than 0.1 mm at laser focus. The sensor features a pulsed red laser diode light source, with a laser class of 1 and a wavelength of 650 nm. It has a fast response and release time of less than 0.05 ms. The voltage supply range is 12 to 30 VDC, with a typical current consumption of 60 mA and a maximum of 65 mA. It includes short circuit and reverse polarity protection, and an output function of light operate with an NPN output circuit. The sensor's dimensions are 15.4 mm in width/diameter, and 50 mm in both height and depth, housed in die-cast zinc with a glass front optics. It connects via a 3-pin, 2 m cable and is rated IP 67 for protection against dust and water, suitable for operating temperatures from -10 to +50 °C.
