The Baumer ZADM 034I220.0021 11004221 is a high-precision sensor designed for measuring edges and widths within a 22 mm field size and a range of 0 to 200 mm towards the object. It features Teach-in adjustment, LED indicators for power and output status, and offers exceptional repeat accuracy of 0.1 mm for distances up to 150 mm, and 0.2 mm up to 200 mm. The sensor's linearity error varies, providing ±1.75 mm accuracy over the full range and improved ±1 mm accuracy within the 50 to 150 mm range. Capable of recognizing objects as small as 3 mm and with a resolution finer than 0.1 mm in optimal conditions, it uses a pulsed infrared diode light source with a wavelength of 880 nm and operates at a measuring frequency of 1100 Hz. The device is powered by a 12 to 28 VDC supply, consumes a maximum of 120 mA with no load, and outputs a 4 to 20 mA signal. It includes safety features such as short circuit and reverse polarity protection, responds in less than 0.9 ms, and is housed in a durable aluminum casing with a glass front, measuring 34 mm in width.
