The Leuze BCL 8 SM 550 is a stationary laser barcode reader with integrated decoder, utilizing a 650 nm laser diode and M-optics for a scanning rate of 600 scans/s and resolution of 0.150.5 mm (620 mil). It features lateral beam exit via rotating polygon wheel, RS 232 interface (480057600 Bd), one switching input (5 VDC) or output (530 V, 20 mA), and IP 67 protection in a compact 48 x 40.3 x 15 mm housing weighing 70 g, powered by 4.755.5 VDC. Suitable for automatic object recognition in manufacturing and logistics, it supports common 1D codes including EAN, Code 39/93/128, and Interleaved 2/5, with configurable output formats and real-time decoding.
