The Datasensing AE6/AP-2F Sensors are designed for precision and reliability in industrial applications. These inductive sensors feature a compact M8 short unshielded design with a NO/PNP connection, making them ideal for tight spaces. The robust metal housing ensures durability, while the 360° visible LED status indicator provides clear operational feedback. With IP67 housing protection, these sensors are resistant to dust and water, suitable for harsh environments. ATEX models for category 3 are available upon request, offering additional safety for explosive atmospheres.
Engineered for complete protection against electrical damages, the AE6/AP-2F sensors come in both standard and long-distance models, with options for standard and short body housing. The nominal sensing distance is 2.5mm, with an operating range of 0 to 2.02mm, and they are optimized for a standard target size of 8x8mm FE360. The sensors exhibit a correction factor for various materials, including copper (0.43), aluminium (0.51), brass (0.59), and stainless steel (0.83).
These sensors maintain high accuracy with a thermal drift of Sr less than 10% and repeat accuracy under 5% at 24V and 23°C ±5°C. The hysteresis ranges from 1 to 20%, and they support a switching frequency of 5kHz. Operating on a voltage range of 10 to 30Vdc, they have a no-load supply current of ? 10mA and a load current of ? 200mA, with a leakage current of ? 10?A. The output voltage drop is minimal at ? 1.8V @200mA, and they can handle a max ripple content of ? 10%.
The sensors are equipped with essential protections, including short-circuit, reverse polarity, impulsive overvoltage, and protection against inductive loads. They are designed for unshielded mounting and have a nickel-plated brass housing with a PBT active head material. The sensors are lightweight at 20g and have an M8 plug connection. They operate efficiently in temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C and are approved with CE UR certifications, ensuring compliance with IEC 60947-5-2 for EMC compatibility. The sensors also withstand shocks and vibrations as per IEC 60068-2-6 and IEC 60068-2-27 standards. Supplied with two M8x1 nuts, these sensors are ready for immediate installation and use.
