The Datasensing AK1/CN-4A Sensors are high-performance inductive sensors designed for a variety of applications. With a nominal sensing distance of 12mm and an operating range of 0 to 9.7mm, these sensors are ideal for precise proximity detection. They feature a standard target size of 36x36mm FE360 and offer correction factors for different materials, including copper (0.45), aluminium (0.53), brass (0.56), and stainless steel (0.77). The sensors exhibit a thermal drift of Sr of less than 10% and a repeat accuracy of less than 5% at 24V and 23°C ±5°C. The AK1/CN-4A models are equipped with a variety of output options, including cable, M12, and plug cable exits, and are available in 2, 3, and 4-wire configurations. They also offer complementary output (NO+NC) and ATEX models for category 3 environments upon request. With a switching frequency of 300Hz and an operating voltage range of 10 to 30Vdc, these sensors are versatile and reliable. The sensors are designed with robust protection features, including short-circuit, reverse polarity, impulsive overvoltage, and protection against inductive loads. They are housed in nickel-plated brass with an active head made of PBT, ensuring durability and resistance to harsh environments. The sensors are unshielded and have a mechanical protection rating of IP67, making them suitable for demanding industrial settings. Additional features include a yellow LED indicator for output state, a time delay before availability of less than 50ms, and a no-load supply current of ? 20mA. The sensors can handle a load current of up to 400mA with a leakage current of ? 10?A and an output voltage drop of ? 1V at 400mA. They are compatible with IEC 60947-5-2 EMC standards and can withstand shocks and vibrations as per IEC 60068-2-6 and IEC 60068-2-27. Supplied with two M18x1 nuts, the sensors are easy to install with a tightening torque of 25Nm. They operate efficiently in temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C, making them suitable for a wide range of industrial applications.
