The Datasensing AM1/AP-2A Sensors are high-performance inductive sensors designed for a variety of applications. With a nominal sensing distance of 4mm and an operating distance of 0 to 3.2mm, these sensors are ideal for precise proximity detection. They feature a standard target size of 12x12mm FE360 and offer correction factors for different materials, including copper (0.41), aluminium (0.47), brass (0.56), and stainless steel (1.15). The sensors exhibit a thermal drift of Sr of less than 10% and a repeat accuracy of less than 5% at 24V and 23°C ±5°C. The AM1/AP-2A models are available with 2 or 3 wires and offer a PNP output type with a normally open (NO) output function. They support a switching frequency of up to 2kHz and operate within a voltage range of 10 to 30Vdc. The sensors have a no-load supply current of ? 10mA and can handle a load current of up to 200mA, with a leakage current of ? 10?A. The output voltage drop is ? 1.8V at 200mA, and they can accommodate a maximum ripple content of ? 10%. Equipped with a yellow LED indicator for output state, these sensors ensure easy monitoring. They feature short-circuit, reverse polarity, impulsive overvoltage, and inductive load protection, making them highly reliable in various environments. The sensors are unshielded and have a robust nickel-plated brass housing with an active head made of PBT. They are designed for easy installation with a tightening torque of 10Nm and come with 2 nuts M12x1 for secure mounting. The AM1/AP-2A sensors are built to withstand harsh conditions, with an operating temperature range of -25°C to +70°C and a degree of protection rated at IP67. They are CE and UR approved, ensuring compliance with international standards. Additionally, they meet EMC compatibility requirements as per IEC 60947-5-2 and are tested for shocks and vibrations according to IEC 60068-2-6 and IEC 60068-2-27 standards. With a compact design of M12 x 1 / L = 49.8mm and a weight of 70g, these sensors are perfect for applications requiring reliable and accurate proximity sensing.
