The Datasensing AM6/BN-2H Sensors are high-performance inductive sensors designed for precision and reliability in various industrial applications. Featuring a compact M12 short unshielded design, these sensors offer both Normally Open (NO) and Normally Closed (NC) output functions with NPN output type. They are equipped with a wide range of models, including standard, short body, and long-distance options, and are available with cable, M12, and M8 plug cable exits. These sensors are engineered for versatility, with models supporting 2 or 3 wire configurations and ATEX category 3 models available upon request. The nominal sensing distance is 4mm, with an operating distance of 0 to 3.2mm, and they are optimized for a standard target size of 12x12mm FE360. The sensors exhibit a correction factor of 0.41 for copper, 0.47 for aluminum, 0.56 for brass, and 1.15 for stainless steel, ensuring accurate detection across different materials. With a thermal drift of Sr less than 10% and repeat accuracy under 5% at 24V and 23°C, these sensors maintain consistent performance. They feature a switching frequency of 2kHz and operate within a voltage range of 10 to 30Vdc. The sensors are designed to handle a load current of up to 200mA, with a no-load supply current of ? 10mA and a leakage current of ? 10?A. The output voltage drop is minimal at ? 1.8V at 200mA, and they can withstand a maximum ripple content of ? 10%. Built with durability in mind, the sensors include short-circuit, reverse polarity, impulsive overvoltage, and inductive load protection. The housing is made from nickel-plated brass, with an active head material of PBT, ensuring robustness and longevity. The sensors are IP67 rated for mechanical protection, making them suitable for harsh environments, and they comply with CE and UR approvals, as well as EMC compatibility with IEC 60947-5-2 standards. The sensors are designed to withstand shocks and vibrations as per IEC 60068-2-6 and IEC 60068-2-27 standards, and they operate efficiently in temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C. Each sensor comes with two M12x1 nuts for secure mounting, and they feature a yellow LED indicator for output state visibility.
