The Datasensing BX04SR/XA-AB Sensors offer a robust and versatile solution for detecting objects with irregular shapes, thanks to their advanced area sensor kit featuring four adjustable beams. Designed for optimal performance, these sensors operate within a nominal sensing distance of 0.3 to 2 meters and boast a thermal drift of Sr ?10%. The beams are spaced 30mm apart, providing a controlled height of 90mm, and can detect objects as small as Ø 15mm.
Equipped with both NPN and PNP output types, the sensors feature a NO output function and a high switching frequency of 180Hz, ensuring rapid response times of 500µs for light/dark transitions and 5ms for dark/light transitions. Operating on a voltage range of 10 to 26VDC, they maintain a no-load supply current of 75mA and a load current of ?100mA, with a minimal output voltage drop of ?2V at Iload = 100mA.
The BX04SR/XA-AB Sensors are built to withstand challenging environments, offering IP67 protection and optional IP69K for special models. They are resistant to electrical damages, impulsive overvoltage, and reverse polarity, with a short-circuit protection that auto-resets. The sensors are also ATEX certified for categories 2 and 3 upon request, making them suitable for hazardous locations.
Featuring LED indicators for easy status monitoring, the emitter displays a green light when powered on, while the receiver shows yellow for output state and red for alignment. The sensors are designed to resist interference from external light sources, withstanding up to 1000lux from incandescent lamps and 1500lux from sunlight.
Constructed with durable PBT housing and a PC active head, the sensors are compact, measuring 45mm x 145mm x 20mm, and weigh 300g. They come with a 2-meter PVC cable for easy installation and are supplied with four M18x1 nuts, an adjustment key, and two 90° angled brackets. Operating efficiently in temperatures ranging from 0°C to +50°C, the BX04SR/XA-AB Sensors are CE and cULus approved, ensuring compliance with EMC compatibility standards EN 60947-5-2.
