The Datasensing C18P/BP-2A8X Sensors are high-performance capacitive sensors designed for precise detection tasks. Featuring a nominal sensing distance of 3 to 12mm, these sensors offer reliable performance with a thermal drift of Sr less than 20% and a repeat accuracy of 5%. The sensitivity adjustment feature allows for fine-tuning to suit specific applications, while the hysteresis is maintained at ? 20%.
Equipped with a PNP output type and dual output functions (NO + NC), these sensors operate at a switching frequency of 50Hz and an operating voltage range of 10 to 40Vdc. The no-load supply current is ? 12mA, with a load current capacity of ? 200mA and a leakage current of ? 100µA. The output voltage drop is minimal at ? 2.5V when IL = 200mA, and the sensors can handle a maximum ripple content of ?10%.
For user convenience, a yellow LED indicator signals object detection, and the sensors are ready for operation with a time delay of ? 200ms. Built-in short-circuit protection includes polarity reversal and overvoltage safeguards, with additional reverse polarity and impulsive overvoltage protection.
The sensors are housed in durable polyester material, with an M18 diameter and a length of 99mm. They are unshielded for versatile mounting and come with a 20m PVC cable for easy connectivity. The active head is also made of polyester, ensuring robust performance in various environments.
With a mechanical protection rating of IP67 and IP68, these sensors are resistant to harsh conditions, including storage temperatures ranging from -40°C to +85°C and operating temperatures from -35°C to +85°C (without freeze). They are compliant with CE and cULus approvals and meet EMC compatibility standards IEC 60947-5-2. Additionally, they are tested for shocks and vibrations according to IEC 60068-2-6 and IEC 60068-2-27 standards.
