The Datasensing FARS/BN-0A Sensors offer a comprehensive range of M18 sensors designed for optimal performance with a 10...30 Vdc power supply. These sensors feature both axial and radial optics with a flat surface, making them ideal for various applications. The retro-reflective models are specifically designed for detecting transparent objects, utilizing a red emission and boasting an IP67 protection degree for enhanced durability. Available in both metallic and plastic housings, these sensors provide flexibility in installation and application. Each model includes sensitivity adjustment via a trimmer, ensuring precise detection capabilities. The sensors are equipped with total protection against any type of electric damages, including short-circuit protection with auto-reset, overvoltage, and reverse polarity protection. The nominal sensing distance is 130mm, with a thermal drift of Sr at ?10% Sr and a repeat accuracy of 5%. The minimum sensing distance, or blind zone, is 30mm, and the function principle is based on background suppression. The sensors feature an NPN NO+NC output type and function, with a switching frequency of 1kHz and a response time of 500µs. They operate efficiently within a voltage range of 10…30VDC, with a no-load supply current of ? 25mA and a load current of ?100mA. The output voltage drop is ?2V at Iload=100mA, and the maximum ripple content is ?10%. LED indicators provide clear status updates, with a yellow light indicating Lon or output status Lo/Do.
